Maybe the Answer’s Right In Front of You….

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come from the most unassuming beginnings….

Have you ever scanned the house for your keys and then realised they were in your hands the whole time?  Sometimes we’re so close to the breakthrough, we can’t see it.

I was reminded of an epic story this week about the most unassuming household product – PlayDoh.

Originally designed as a wall paper cleaning putty in the 1930s, sales declined abruptly after WW2 with the transition of coal based heating to natural gas and the reduction of internal soot. With the company facing bankruptcy, one of the family members, Kay Zufall, a kindergarten teacher, began using the putty for her children’s art projects. Adding colours to the putty and reintroducing it to the market as PlayDoh, saw the product turn over $3 million in 1958. It now sells more than 95 million cans a year in 75 countries.

“I have kept this as proof….(playdoh)
That we are just one small adjustment from making our lives work.”

How Do You Know,” 2010, movie starring Reese Witherspoon

Perspective is the key – and what I love most about my work as a coach.
It’s that precious moment when the person in front of me sees their lives/blocks/circumstances from a completely different angle.

That’s the moment where transformation begins.

About Me

Hello I'm Louise Fitzgerald-Baker, Well-th Coach.

I help women close the gap between wealth and wellbeing.

Most of my career has been in the property sector where I saw a lot of wealth at the cost of wellbeing.

And on the flipside, I've met a lot of yoga and pilates instructors with wellbeing, but not a lot of financial security.

I've discovered there's a Wealth & Wellbeing Sweetspot.

Having found it, I now devote my life to helping others do the same.

Recently I was working on a letter from a mother to her adult daughter. It was no Hallmark card. People think the alternative to a Postscript is writing a letter themselves. But in truth, the more popular alternative is to just say nothing. Terrified of saying the wrong thing, we avoid the topic (or the person) altogether. This can splinter the relationship and ultimately lead to it diminishing and breaking down.
